RECREATION EVENT SCHEDULE

Casino Trip

We will look to offer a casino trip every 3 months as long as the community shows interest.  Charter buses will take adults 18 and older from Richland Hills to Devol, Oklahoma and the Kiowa Casino.  Registration is only $10 and is required 1 week before the trip is scheduled.  Each person will be given a $10 slot card to play with and receive a free buffet lunch.  The bus will leave promptly at 8:00 am so we will start loading the bus at 7:45 am.  We will schedule games with prizes and give-a-ways for the bus trips.  Invite your friends for this fun adventure!  Register at City Hall.

Easter Egg Hunt

Every Spring, the City of Richland Hills sets a date with the Easter Bunny to offer an egg hunt on the Saturday of the weekend before Easter.  If the weather does not cooperate, we will reschedule for the Saturday of Easter weekend.  Bring out your whole family for a great time.  The event will have an egg hunt, a bounce house, the Easter Bunny, and more other activities.  There will be thousands of eggs filled with toys and treats.  The event is free and no registration is required, just come out and have fun with others in the community.  The details for this years event are below:

The 2017 Easter Egg Hunt                   April 8th                     10 a.m. to Noon                Rosebud Park

Hunt Times    0-3 yrs old        10:30 a.m.

                       4-6 yrs old        10:45 a,m,

                       7-9 yrs old        11:00 a.m.

                       10-12 yrs old     11:15 a.m.

Besides the hunt, children can enjoy the bounce house, mini-train, games, crafts, and of course, the Easter Bunny!

 

The Link Grand Opening

Be sure to save the date for The Link's Grand Opening!  This community wide event has great activities for all ages.  The Grand Opening will be the last day to register for a discounted Charter Membership at the Link.  On Saturday, April 29th, The Link will be open for tours, so that you can see all of the great amenities it will offer.  That day The Link will also have a free:

  • The Ticket sports radio station
  • Health Fair
  • Programs Fair
  • Free burgers, chips, and drinks
  • Taste of Richland Hills
  • Great entertainment.

The entertainment will include, face painters, a magician, bounce house, petting zoo, animal adoptions, and energetic music!  Come by from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to experience all of the great activities and entertainment.  And don't forget to get your Charter membership to enjoy everything that The Link will have to offer everyday!  For more information on memberships and rentals at The Link, go to www.thelinkrec.com.

 

 Missing Link Character

The Missing Link 5K and Fun Run 

The morning of the Grand Opening for The Link, the city will offer its Inaugural 5K and 1 mile fun run.  This event will support youth sports in Richland Hills.  So please come out before the Grand Opening on April 29th and put in your steps or compete against others to benefit a good cause.  Registration is required and prices go up on the day of the run.

 

 

 

The City offers numerous recreational activities including various classes, special events, and public park areas. The City also offers meeting spaces at selected pavilions. These pavilions can be rented for special occasions.

SENIOR LUNCH BUNCH-The Place to Meet New Friends, Enjoy Fellowship, Great Food & Fun Activities!

The City of Richland Hills hosts a FREE monthly Senior Activity & Lunch for Richland Hills Sr. Citizens on the 
2nd Thursday of each month at the Richland Hills Christian Church located at 3908 Ruth Rd at the intersection of Glenview and Ruth Rd. 

Lunch is served 12N to 1:00 p.m. with a variety of scheduled activities following lunch.
